I just found out that those two crabs cost C$55.00 for TWO ! so even though we catch them in our local waters, you need a mortgage to be able to pay for them.

Linda:

My father in law used to "chop" them up "alive" then put them in a pot of boiling water. They wiggled for a few seconds and that was IT, but ate them anyway.

Ms M:

I love crabs, I suppose because we don't get them that often. If we had a crab trap (or two) we could probably get them for free by throwing them over a pier.

cpa3485/Jim:

I've never been to a Red Lobster. They advertise a lot on TV and their pictures look delicious. We'll have to come to KS to check it out. Send plane tickets pronto. And I will be very crabby if they don't arrive.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05258612401956399482noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2738356784230164028.post-88808586233806458282009-09-03T06:57:12.560-07:002009-09-03T06:57:12.560-07:00Here in the middle of the continent, fresh seafood...Here in the middle of the continent, fresh seafood is sort of a lie compared to the kind of seafood I am sure you can get out there. The Red Lobster restaurant is okay I guess, but not nearly the same. I am jealous.
But we can get good buffalo here and it is noted for being very lean compared to beef.
BTW, if you don't want to be called "Crabby Bob", can I simply refere to you as "Crabmeat Bob"?cpa3485https://www.blogger.com/profile/00031439889267356735noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2738356784230164028.post-76397318824712520932009-09-02T12:35:34.428-07:002009-09-02T12:35:34.428-07:00you have made me very very hungry :)you have made me very very hungry :)mq01https://www.blogger.com/profile/11742343758057005313noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2738356784230164028.post-86362374777200294642009-09-02T09:40:04.193-07:002009-09-02T09:40:04.193-07:00Reminds me when we used to go crab fishing as kids...Reminds me when we used to go crab fishing as kids, dad put them in a huge pot, love crab meat, have never tried bison though, sounds like this dinner is just what Dave needs..lol, great post Bob with great photos...montieandmehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16305446082689674102noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2738356784230164028.post-21645500276012744842009-09-02T08:28:42.512-07:002009-09-02T08:28:42.512-07:00I have had bison burgers and found them too dry, w...I have had bison burgers and found them too dry, which is no doubt why they claim the meat is healthful. Crabs on the other hand are plain weird. They look like the monster in the last horror film I went to see voluntarily which was the first "Alien" movie. You are obviously from a long lived gene pool so perhaps you'd better stick to low fat meat to fulfill your potential.Conchscooterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08016331487463993200noreply@blogger.com
