(ScooterBob looking tiny compared to the bridge) |

(Had to move him to a post for a better shot) |

(Oh look, you can see the railroad bridge too) |

(Posing for pictures is hard work, he rested in the cool grass) |
Once in Florence we made our way to the
Siuslaw River Coffee Roasters. Iced lattes were consumed outside under the shade of an umbrella while ScooterBob kept us company and observed the historic
bridge which opened in 1936.

(And one last shot in black and white just for visual interest) |
Too soon we needed to head home. ScooterBob was tucked in his case and stowed in my tail bag for a safe journey to our house where he awaits his next outing.

Very nice photos! And another covered bridge knocked off the list. (Is there a list somewhere?)
ReplyDeleteThanks Richard. We'd actually been to the covered bridge before, almost exactly a year ago but I was on the Gladius doing the gravel roads. Not as fun. Brad has a list of covered bridges on a separate tab on his blog and all the pics are on there. I think there are about 50 of them and we have about half so far.
DeleteAnd so continue the explorations of ScooterBob....thanks.
ReplyDeleteBob always seemed sad when he would ride though our area and miss the covered bridges so we thought he'd like this.
DeleteGood to see SB is still on the move after all this time
ReplyDeleteHe is very well travelled.
DeleteAnd he's roaming the we(s)t coast again. Bob would have loved this.
ReplyDeleteThanks you Sonja. We are trying to let him roam, when our work schedules allow.
DeleteMu 40-year-old daughter just "inherited" a six or seven-year old "Genuine Scooter Company Stella." Save for the grain in your model, hers looks pretty much like yours. Also, it won't easily fit atop a picnic table... :)
