ScooterBob Goes to Tillamook

On Saturday we took ScooterBob for one last adventure in Oregon.  Today he shall travel to Victoria to hang out with Princess ScooterPie while it is still sunny on the wet coast.

Our destination was Tillamook on the Oregon Coast.  Inspired by ToadMama we rode to see some barn quilts.

After this photo was taken, a wind gust came up and Humpty Dumpty ScooterBob fell off my tail bag. While he is very photogenic, base jumping from tail bags is not his forte. You'll note the rest of the pictures were taken with ScooterBob firmly on the ground. While the photographs are not as visually interesting, we didn't want to call on all the kings horses and all the kings men to put him back together again.

Safe journey little ScooterBob.  Enjoy Victoria.

Cheers,

  1. Good to see SB survived the fall OK....and now he moves on to another adventure.

  2. SB base jumping? He is always up to something new, eh? It for sure won't be the last "accident", Brandy, in the meantime the wooden trinket must be more spare parts than original. But this is how it should be on a long trip around the world.

    1. Base jumping is what I likened it to given the size of the scooter and the height of the tail bag. There is still a small ziplock in with the moments that has two little pieces of scooter in it, but at least we didn't have to add any to it.

  3. BASE jumping. In not sure that was ever been on Bob's "list"! I really like the barn quilt photos.

    1. I don't think it would have been on Bob's list either, but the damn wind at the coast.....

There is a whole Tillamook Barn Quilt Trail with several routes and even a walking tour of them downtown. Not sure how they can call the murals or the ones on metal sheds barn quilts, but they do.

  4. You can't have an adventure like the little scoot has been on without a few trips and falls. Thanks for sharing his time with you and here's to the next leg of the journey with the Princess.

    1. I am sure he has taken a wee tumble more than once so we didn't feel too bad. It could have worse, he could have fallen in a pasture, lol.

  5. Great post! I'm sure SB would have been happy to see some barn quilts like I'm always going on about. Those are lovely, really. I'm glad you were able to get to Tillamook before sending SB on his way.

  6. Good to see SB out and about. I wouldn't worry too much about the wee fall - he's seen a fair bit of life in his travels!

    1. At least he isn't in any more pieces than when he arrived, that is a good thing.

  7. Did he jump or was he pushed is this question we should be asking!

    1. Depends on which time he fell, hahahaha. :-) Isn't that what friends are for?

  9. Nice post Brandy and Brad.

Sorry for getting to the party so late.

The little Skoot is now on the third to last leg of its excellent world wide adventure.

Once it gets back to me, there will be a lot to consider before it takes the last leg home. This story is screaming at me for a spectacular punctuation mark as a wrap-up.

    Thoughts are most welcome.

I'll eventually e-mail all the hosts for input.
