Topless

DSC01681_renamed

sort of when the convertible top is down. There was a Corvette Show & Shine last Sunday and a few of us decided to get together for a few hours to socialize

There were over 85 Corvettes there and a fundraiser for the Special Olympics. There was a BBQ, 50/50 draw, raffle, everything was geared for you to spend money with all proceeds going towards Charity

Even the A&W bear was there, playing with Sue. That is her '58 Corvette black roadster to the right. Sunday is usually a non-riding day for me so I brought

my C5 Corvette Roadster . There was even a custom Harley

with a 20" front wheel with a special paint job. as well as a Honda Goldwing

trike.

Meet Jenny, standing beside her C3 Corvette Coupe. It has a 454 ci V8 engine & 4-speed manual transmission

She just loves to pose for my camera, and for some reason I don't mind snapping photos of her too

  1. I must admit that I've always like the look of the early C3's. Maybe because those are the ones I remember when I was in high school. I don't think I ever wanted one even back then. I was more attracted to the non-turbo 911's, Alfa's and Lotus Europa's. But never had any of them either....

I have previously owned; 2 MGB's, 2 Alfas: 2000 GTV Veloce, and Guilia Spyder not counting T-bird, Camaro, Mustang, Firebird etc, but only 2 Corvettes. The only vehicle which I wished I still had was my 1963 GMC stepside pickup truck. I don't remember much about it except it had a wood deck in the box and a tire mounted vertical on the side of the box. We also had a lot of fun in our VW Westfalia

I took lots of photos and video but didn't want to bore you with non 2-wheeled photos. But I have lots more of Jenny, lots . . .

  3. Imagine that Bob, your camera enjoyed taking pictures of a pretty girl with a hot car. Who'd have thunk.

You saw the bear, did you taste the food? I haven't sen one of those commercials in years.

It looks like you had a great day and beautiful weather too.

my camera has a mind of its own. It must have a chick magnet sensor, I think it points and clicks all by itself.

They were selling A&W root beer floats, don't ask me how many I had ? It was HOT, remember . . .

It was cloudy overcast in the morning, but then the sun came out and we went to a BBQ later

  5. I am glad that the 'topless' factor remained with the cars. I don't think that a lot of the guys would live up to my standards ;-)

  6. I like Jenny's '69. I'm guessing on the year, I can't find my Corvette book sine I moved. No push button door knob,(68), and the egg crate gills, not the shark vents like the 70s have.

    Looks like a fun day
