Away again

Left this morning and headed North. This is the old suspension bridge in Lillooet, BC.

  1. Cool suspension bridge! Did you ride over or is it pedestrian only?

I think I could ride my bike over this bridge, even though there are barracades on both sides to stop cars but I decided not to. I believe that this bridge was the only way over the Fraser River before they built the new one . . . which is called "the bridge of the 23 camels"

  2. Enjoy this late summer outing. Where are you headed? Just doing the loop, or going further?

This was more about a couple of days of relaxation, rather than putting on the miles, so I only chose a destination close to home, but far enough away that it seemed that I went somewhere

I cannot carry forward vacation days and I have to use them up before a certain date. I would rather have sunny weather, than rain and it was just perfect

My whole perception of distance has changed since my long trip. I just wanted to get away to relax and camp somewhere different.

  5. Bob, have you caught the feared Tumbleweed syndrome? We may have to call Yvonne and organize an intervention! What I need you to do, is slow down, stay put, and resist the temptation to tour until 1) you answer my 10 simple questions (only real thoughtful, entertaining answers will do); and 2) you have a workable plan to tour Tuscany in 2014 or 2015 (only real plans will do, Yvonne must come along, and it has to be when Sonja and Roland can participate).

2014 and 2015 are already committed, so it would have to be after 2016. I know, it's hard to believe that I am working so far ahead
