Ride to Coffee Culture, Corvallis, Oregon

Last Saturday I followed Trobairitz to Coffee Culture.   It was always my intention to get there "one of these" days and this was the day

I had problems editing Video while on my Coast to Coast trip so I am behind.   I re-installed a newer version of Adobe Premiere Elements onto my small 11.6" travel computer to see how it performs

Again, thank you to Trobairitz for coffee, a scone and an excellent bag lunch for my trip home

It was going to be another HOT day up in the mid 80's. At least it wasn't raining

I don't know how you guys do it down there, always riding on the wrong side of the road. Be careful . . .

  3. Nice video, the scenery looked familiar… You went about three blocks from my mom's house. ;-)

Funny how it looks like we were riding faster than we were. It was a struggle to keep up with Trobairitz, but I like following

  5. So this is your GoPro, mounted via the Ram balls?

I am using the Double Ram balls with a short extension joined to a longer extension so I can clear the windscreen and also rotate for a rear view. It looks funny but it works. Not too much vibration either, set to 720p60

  6. BTW, I don't know if its the new camera but the video looks a whole lot better. The rolling shutter waviness isn't noticeable at all.

    Looking forward to more video...

The Hero3 is much better than the Hero1. I set it to 60 fps and I don't get much "rolling shutter"

  7. Thanks for posting that Bob. And for doing the condensed version not the whole 10 minute ride. It was nice to ride to coffee with you.

  9. It looked like a great day! How do you have the gopro mounted. I need to come up with a better system. The way mine is mounted, at just the right RPMs there must be the right harmonics to get the picture to distort. It often looks like the windshield is fluttering and the roadway is waving... I think a better mount method would help.

firstly, make sure you record at 720p60 FPS. I find the handlebars are best because they are "shocked", Your frame ISN'T. When I include the windshield it often waves too, that's why I try to shoot "over" it.

I am also using Rubber (inner tube) washers where you attach your GoPro to the tripod mount to help minimize vibrations
