Waiting for Spring

Well, Trobairitz issued another challenge and it was to post a photo using Photo Booth. I don't have an iMac so I had to used my substitute. And I have no self image problems, even though it would do me good to be able to shed a few pounds

Out of the blue, Winter's vengeance came back like a Lion. We had fierce windstorms the past few days with power outages, cancelled ferry sailings, many downed trees/powerlines. Yesterday morning our lights were flickering and I thought for sure that our power was going out. All night the wind was howling, but not whistling my favourite songs.

And this morning I had to scrape my windshield before my morning commute. At work as I looked out my window, I could see flakes of snow covering the cars

I just had to show my displeasure

by drawing an image with my finger

I thought that Winter was on its way OUT. Just the other day when I went to the grocery store, I noticed a girl displaying bright red painted toe nails wearing flip flops. I watched her as she walked past but she was too fast for my camera.

and to think that just a mere few days ago, I thought Spring had finally arrived

  1. Great self portrait Bob. That comic book app is pretty cool.

Bummer on the snow. The coast got a lot of snow overnight here in Oregon but we lucked out in the valley.

And yes my runners were dirty from our walks this winter, it just doesn't show that well in the pic. I may have to take a close up.

That Comic Book app can actually do pages just like in a comic, I have to play with it a bit more and you will see. The snow was a bit of a surprise for us too.

Your runners are "Clean", I don't see a speck of dirt in them

sometimes having different seasons is nice, but continued bad weather gets boring. It would be nice to get some KW weather soon

Me too, I can't wait to see your red, glossy, painted toe nails with or without sandals. You are lucky to live in a place with good riding weather all year around.

  5. As Conchscooter says, "Seasons are over rated."

We seem to have only one season as well or at least it's beginning to seem that way...

I don't know how you can endure it up there with those below freezing temps. Lucky you get a chance to escape to the lower 49 once in a while. I think your Winter lasts 11 months

    1. with a bit of luck, this weekend may be nice. Drizzling rain, instead of torrential rain. We seem to get a certain amount of rain each year. If it rains itself out now, then we will reap the benefits later in the summer when we need it.

  8. Bobskoot! Looking quite dashing in the funny pages. ;) Very cute option to go with. And those poor little flowers. I doubt they are around anymore. :(

I loved you bubble photo. I wish I knew how you did it. You are so creative. I'll have to check out the flowers when our neighbour isn't looking

  9. Nice picture option. Much more imagination than simply using PhotoBooth....
