Choices

The weekend is here, it's Saturday and the weather forecast is beautiful, perfect for riding

but there are decisions to be made, grass to cut, snow tires to take off, summer tires to put on.

A decision has to be made. What to do, what to do . . . Which machine shall it be ?

Riding boots, or my mowing attire ?

  1. I thought the riding boots would have won out. I did the Port Renfrew loop today, it was spectacular and the weather was Devine. I hope you get out tomorrow!

I had to do my chores first. Work first, play later. The Port Renfrew Loop is great, I rode it around Sept 2009 (check my archives). Glad that you had a great leader to guide you and stop for photos

I wouldn't be able to concentrate. It would be bothering me all day. I just can't bring myself to leave things undone

  3. Looks like responsibility won out. Bummer being responsible sometimes isn't it. But at least the house is looking good!

you are right. work first. I usually do the lawn on a weekdays after work, but it had been raining so much the grass was too wet. Finally the grass got so long it just had to be done at the first opportunity, and Saturday was the day

  4. Ha, judging by the color of your feet, I think you picked mowing the lawn.

was this a "lucky" guess ? Well, you're right, I had to cut the grass. I get green feet everytime and it is hard to wash off

  5. Were you riding through a pasture without your boots again? That's dangerous you know.

Boots or NO boots. It's a hard decision, but I am a daredevil

  6. Bob: We have both been to many of the same places but you have a knack for finding those out of the way places and vistas that I have either missed or forgotten about. It has been very useful to not particular points of interest for future travel, even local. You have an eye that makes even the familiar seem interesting.

Up to now my only real day for pleasure riding has been Sundays or I'm sure our paths would have crossed already. It has been my great good pleasure to meet Robert the Reverend a couple of times and perhaps I'll see you too.

I do not normally ride on Sundays, special events excepted. I am sure one day our paths will cross. Robert, The Rev does not ride on Saturdays, as he is working that day, so right now, I don't see him very much
