Martha issued a tiny-challenge . . .
" So how about a tiny challenge. Show your town, or your sky, your 7 o'clock in the morning wherever you are "
Well, I tried to wake up a few minutes earlier to capture this
This is a few minutes away on an alternate way to work through Queen Elizabeth Park. I failed. I snapped this 10 minutes late.
the following is a boring photo taken exactly at 7:00am as I am heading to my car for my morning commute
overnight temperatures are getting cool, so we get condensation in the mornings. The sun is just starting to make its appearance. Being in the heart of the city, we cannot see the horizon, we have to wait until it rises above the houses and trees
Bob,
ReplyDeleteYou caught the day's best moment for a rider. For me anyway. That time before the day is sure it's up and the air is heavy with the mysticism of night. No better time to ride in the warm months. I feel like I just popped out of a tent.

DeleteI also like the morning. Makes you feel so alive in that brisk air and seeing the sun rise is refreshing. I just dread the heat of the afternoons. Popping your head out of a tent in the morning is good too, except mainly it is because of too much heat build up inside. I love seeing the shadows from the sun shining through the trees. Most mornings I see them but today Martha made me stop
The park is lovely! Very pretty view.
ReplyDeleteLooks like everyone is having a really nice end of the month. All beautiful weather.
Thanks, Bob!
Martha:
DeleteIt is forecast to be a great sunny weekend, though not very hot, which is perfect. Most of the time we are in a rush to get to work, today you made me take the slow route through the park and made me stop to appreciate the beauty of a sunrise.
Okay, so where are the bare feet?
ReplyDeleteCanajun:
Deletedid you know I was thinking the same thing . I was struggling to find the "right" subject.
it's nice to feel appreciated
I like the park view and it just feels like it is going to be a nice day!
ReplyDelete@Canajun Maybe that's what he used to make the smiley face on the window...
Richard:
DeleteIt was just a beautiful morning. The sun was shining, the birds were chirping and the sun puts you in a good frame of mind. The air was crisp, felt a bit like Fall.
Now you tell me about the smiley face, I could have done that !
Pretty setting even if you made it there a little late :)
ReplyDeleteWe have buttes to the east and to the west of us, so we don't get sunrises or sunsets unless we go for a drive.
I've noticed the dew returning to our mornings as well. No smiley on my car though.
BlueKat:
DeleteI know what you mean about being in a Valley, or in the mountains when it cuts the sun from view. My sunrises/sunsets are not that inspiring as being in the city you only get to see houses, or trees.
soon enough that dew will turn to having to scrape your windshield.
Cute subjects. I was hoping to be on the road at 7. But failed. Tomorrow maybe.
ReplyDeleteBeemerGirl/Lori:
DeleteI was going to offer a wake-up call service, but then I remembered that I would have to wake myself up earlier than 4am, or earlier if you wanted to get dressed.
I am glad you waited that 10 minutes Bob. That first picture is a keeper.
ReplyDeleteTrobairitz:
DeleteI actually paused at a few places to snap photos before I drove to QE Park (<-- notice Richard type hyperlink ?) I have other photos which I thought were interesting for people who don't live in Vancouver.
I love to snap "backlit" photos, especially those with sunlight streaming through the trees. Thank you for your kind words
Nice capture of the morning atmosphere. Well captured.
ReplyDeleteSonja:
Deletein the middle of the city, I am not as close to nature as you. I only have QE Park, everywhere else is too far away. I am lucky the sun came out
