iMBC2012: Ride Video, Hell's Canyon Oregon
Here are some highlights of our iMBC2012 group ride into Hell’s Canyon, Oregon. I tried to show only the highlights to keep the video short but it still ended up longer than what I would have preferred. I realize that many would not find long videos of roads and asphalt interesting but this video was edited with the participants in mind and perhaps it will bring back memories of our great weekend together in Baker City, Joseph and Enterprise, Oregon.
For those who have never ridden into Hell’s Canyon you may be in for a treat. Hell’s Canyon is 2,000 feet deeper than the Grand Canyon and is the deepest canyon gorge in North America. It is 9 miles wide and the road along the canyon floor which parallels the Snake River is known as the “Devil’s Tail”, 22 miles of more or less, continuous twisties until you reach the Dam. This road is on the Idaho side and when you cross the bridge you change time zones.
