I was looking through some of my hard drives and I came across some snapshots from my previous trip to Oregon during July 2010 . Nothing fancy, just memories of good times . . .
Mr Conchscooter (Michael) from Key West Florida meeting Richard from Fairbanks Alaska
in Bend, Oregon July, 2010 (notice Richard's Crocs©)
Troubadour (Brad) and Trobairitz (Brandy), notice their previous bikes
Triumph America and Suzuki TU250
Trobairitz (Brandy) at Mt Washington viewpoint
Troubadour's Triumph America

Is that my helmet on my mirror? Bad, bad, bad habit (now a broken habit).
ReplyDeleteMy America is for sale again, it's on consignment at the Triumph shop in Eugene. I saw her last week, kind of like running into an old girlfriend, we had some good times but there's a reason we split up.
Troubadour:
DeleteI thought it was kind of neat looking at your previous bikes. Must have felt a bit funny looking at your old bike and what condition it was in, you know, finding the new scratches that were put on by its new owner
Those pictures frightened me. Man am I glad I've lost weight since then. Note to self, step away from the sammich, lol.
ReplyDeleteThanks for reminiscing Bob. That was a great trip. And I did it on that little 250 single too. Good thing I didn't know any better at the time. Sure like my v-twin power now.
If you look carefully, you can see that the pictures are stretched horizontally. I was thiinking the same thiing until I noticesd that the wheels weren't round.
DeleteNice to see some of those pictures again....
Yeah, that's it Richard. I wasn't chubby, the picture is stretched, lol.
DeleteTrobairitz:
DeleteIt's NOT you, you are slim and delightfully right proportioned. It was the aspect ratio of the cameras I was using two years ago. I used to shoot 3:2 ratio, but now 4:3 so they are not resized correctly. I now shoot the same ratio on all my cameras
Your Gladius 650cc is a great engine, lots of power as compared to the 250 which was mostly ridden WOT. I think the 650 is much safer on the highway
Bob - Memories are such fun. (And Brandy -it's amazing where one can go on a 250, just ask me!)
ReplyDeleteKaren:
DeleteI can only aspire to go where you have been, and SOLO too. My new motto is "IF Karen can do it, then I can too"
I like to look at old photos, they make me smile of the good times, and people I have met
Looks like a good time! Is there a plan for a 2014 IMBC??

DeleteWe still have our Motoblogger's forum open for suggestions. We already discussed meeting again in 2 years, but perhaps a bit farther East if we have more riders coming from that direction. Majority rules . . .
