Winter is a time to experiment and learn new projects. I have always wanted to make my own GIFs
and I needed a subject to animate, so excuse the OOF: Out of Focus photos as it's only a procedural test to make sure I could do it
I couldn't think of any other ideas . . .
and I'm also trying to keep in shape after all that food during Christmas
Whew ! I'm getting tired just looking at this
Animate about a hundred frames, then the viewing won't be so exhausting!
ReplyDeleteRichard:
Deleteyou can change the duration between images. the first was .5 sec and the second was .2 seconds. seems so simple to do it, once you know how
I'm starting to worry about you Bob.....
ReplyDeleteDom:
DeleteI didn't have a model, and I wanted some shots before it got dark. so I used what I had
Nothing to worry about. I just need ideas for an animated avatar
Bob --
ReplyDeleteHard to get excited about exercise in that chilly gloom, isn't it?
Wouldn't a JPEG do the job?
John:
DeleteI am too old to have any endurance. It was enough to snap a few photos. I find that I cannot walk all day long like I used to
a .jpeg is only one static image. The GIF's I produced are comprised of several images displaying at fast duration, in a loop
Nice GIF's Mr Miaggi....
ReplyDeleteA slow winters day I take it.
Steve:
DeleteI like to learn new things. Making GIFs has been on the list for a while. I know google+ does it but you never know how it will turn out. Clickable Panoramas was a project using free software and I still want to do QTVR
Funny! Let your animated ego do the exercise...
ReplyDeleteSonja:
DeleteI was trying hard to come up with an idea and that's what I came up with. glad to make you smile on a dreary, cloudy, winter's day
Impressive flexibility Bob!
ReplyDeleteNikos:
Deletethank you. It's the only exercise I can do and not get too tired
Thanks for the chuckle Bob.
ReplyDeleteAnd Steve's comment was perfect too.
Trobairitz:
Deletethanks for chuckling along. It made me chuckle too
today was a "Basil" day. Learning how to do more GIFs and stayed home
Definitely a good morning giggle!!!
ReplyDeleteKathyrn:
DeleteHope you had a Happy New Year and happy to give you a smile, once in a while
ReplyDeleteI've seen some GIF's that are really quite creative but don't always send/share well, at least have not for me. I'm guessing that these html pages are more conducive and keep the GIF's live?
Go Bob, Go!!
Coop:
DeleteI've got some applications where a GIF would be better than a movie clip and there's something else that I want to try . . . to see if it works
I'm still interested in Focus Stacking but I don't have the software
Bob - looks like you need a hobby.
ReplyDeleteKaren:
DeleteWhat ? you don't like my GIF's ? I was trying to give everyone a smile to start the day
I thought I already had a hobby. Photography and riding/driving . . . and now it has also included image editing
Funny.
ReplyDeleteLori:
Deletealways glad to be of service. A smile a day keeps the stress away
Way to rock the new technology and get some "exercise" in! Fun!!
ReplyDeletePam:
DeleteI hope you are feeling better. Take it easy and don't do exercises like I'm doing.
I wanted to give everyone a big smile and learn how to do GIFs
Charming. My favorite was the one of you assembling your tent. What software are you using?
ReplyDeleteDavid:
DeleteThe one with the tent was assembled by Google+. You have no control over what comes out. It does what it does, which means to say that it comes out random and you either like it or not.
These GIFs are assembled manually by me. I choose the images and put them in my order and I can control the speed. I am using Adobe Photoshop Elements 9 or 10. I have PSEL9 on one laptop and PSEL10 on the other. I have also purchased PSEL11 and PSEL12 which are still brand new "in the box" waiting for my WIN8 machine
The animated GIFs made me smile.
