Time Flies when you are

doing nothing and the only thing on your mind is stopping to take photos

and enjoying the warmth of an early Fall day. It was a bit chilly this morning as we left Lincoln City and headed South

It was a perfect day for a drive along the scenic Oregon coast

unfortunately our time is up and we have to leave for home

it`s a shame we can`t stay longer but tomorrow it`s back to reality, and our long drive home to Vancouver

I would love to stay on vacation but most of are still waiting to win the Lotto. Our employers only give us small snippets of time to tease us

  2. Your pictures make me miss the west coast. Maybe I'll get out there again next year.

we have been on the Oregon Coast several times, but this was one of those rare times that there was no fog and the "coast was clear". before you consider a West Coast tour next year, contact V-Star Lady and ask her about the KOA2013 tour to the Atlantic

  3. Thanks for making the trek into the valley to visit with us. It was great to see you two again. Sorry it wasn't for as long as originally planned.

Beautiful pictures of the coast. I forget what it looks like sunny. It seems it is always misty when we get over that way.

I am hopeful that we will be able to share more time next year when things get settled. We are nearing the end of our riding/touring season and I will be without my Passport until it gets renewed, so no crossing the border for me, in the short term.

I must say that this was one of the few times that it has been clear on the coast, no fog or mist either. It was perfect. Lunch and dinner with friends was just the "topping on the cake" (Vegan of course)

  4. Why is it a long trek back? After all you managed to completely skip Washington State on your way down.
"Soon we had crossed the US/Cdn border and found ourselves deep into Oregon"

Nice photos showing that the fog and overcast really does go away.

the plan was to hit the Coast via the fastest roads but we got foiled in Tigard and got caught up in construction, also the freeway was at a standstill in Portland. Traffic was really bad, worse than here if you can believe that

The last time we were here we were fogged out and did not clear. All we could see was white, and the sounds of the ocean. This time it was surprisingly clear and crisp

  5. The pictures are awesome....will you make it down to Bandon? Behold the power of cheese! They have a boutique fromagerie that set my mouth watering thinking about it, and there's a beautiful road that follows the Coquille river and joins I-5 just south of Roseburg, easy a day back home. Built for bikes and Vettes.

No, we only went as far as Florence, sort of. This trip was more for relaxation, than for miles travelled, stopping for photos and just enjoying a nice Fall day.

you are on quite the long adventure yourselves. safe travels to you both

thank you. When travelling in a group it is hard to stop for photos. The Coast was unusually clear that day. Glad you liked them

  7. What a fabulous trip for you two! Looks like you hit some nice weather-and not fog. That's a rare thing for the coast. Nothing goes together like bare feet and beaches. :)

It seems like a long time since we have taken a road trip. The last few were "fly & rent a car" type trips. The plan was not to put on the miles, except the to and from travel days to get there. We had two days of doing "not much", and just enjoying the weather and change of scenery.

it was great walking on the beach barefooted, through the mud and sand without a care in the world and nowhere to be, except for Sunday when we had lunch and dinner plans. You know that I love to meet up with friends along the way
